 Being named Playboy magazine's 2007 Playmate of the Year made Sara Jean Underwood feel sick.
"I thought I was going to puke," she told The Associated Press. "I thought I was going to faint. I thought I was going to cry. It was every emotion you can imagine one would feel when given such an honor."
The petite 23-year-old blonde beat out 11 other beauties to become the magazine's 48th Playmate of the Year. Along with her title, Sara receives $100,000 in prize money and a 2007 chili-red Mini Cooper S convertible. After being named Playmate of the Year at a Thursday,
May 3 luncheon ceremony at the Playboy Mansion, Sara will make her first public appearance at Louisville's Crown Royal Playboy Lounge pre-Derby party on Friday, May 4.
Sara's wholesome girl-next-door appeal first caught Playboy's attention when photographers visited Oregon State University (OSU) in search of "Girls of the Pac 10" for the magazine's October 2005 college issue.

She tells the AP she went through every emotion from crying to feeling like she was going to faint.

She first came to Playboy's attention when she posed for the "Girls of the Pac 10" pictorial and was Miss July.
But Underwood says she's short, freckle-faced and never thought she was pretty enough for Playboy.
